Start without waiting

If you call in the morning, we are often with you the same day – as a rule, by the following day at the latest. We currently have no waiting list.

Full range of services

From full personal care to medication, injections and wound care through to accompanying you to the doctor – everything from a single source, properly documented and coordinated with your doctor.

Permanent contact persons

With us, you won’t end up in an anonymous phone queue: in management and organisation you have permanent contact persons who know your situation. One call – and you reach someone who knows what’s going on.

No strings attached

No minimum term: you can terminate your care contract at any time without notice – as provided for in § 120 SGB XI. We adjust the scope together with you if anything changes.

Why we do this

So that life stays light.

For us, care is not about ticking off tasks. It is about someone being able to go on living at home, where they know their way around – with a person at their side who brings time and makes everyday life feel light again.

That is exactly what drives us: when we leave, something in the home should feel lighter and warmer than before. A familiar face at the door, a kind word, a helping hand – often that is exactly the difference between „just about getting by“ and a really good day.

Prescriptions & referrals

For our clients, we take care of repeat prescriptions and prescriptions for medical treatment care and submit them to the health insurance fund. More extensive help with applications, official letters or the MD assessment is available as a private service at fixed prices – with a care level, part of it can be covered by the care insurance fund.

Respite care

When family carers need a holiday or are unable to provide care, we take over – planned or at short notice. The care insurance fund provides a separate annual budget for this.

§ 39 SGB XI

Counselling visits

Anyone receiving care allowance with care level 2 to 5 must arrange a counselling visit every six months; with care level 4 and 5 it is possible quarterly on request, and with care level 1 it is voluntary every six months. We come to your home – the costs are covered by the care insurance fund.

Transport & escort service

To the doctor, the pharmacy, the shops or public offices: we drive you there, accompany you on site and bring you safely back home. With a care level, the accompaniment can often be covered by the relief amount.

How it works

One call is all it takes. We handle the rest.

All you need to do is tell us what you need – our team sorts out everything else for you: with your doctor, with your insurance fund, with your family. Tailored to you.

1

Call – we advise you free of charge

A call or a callback request is all it takes. You do not need to know exactly what you need yet – we listen and advise you free of charge. We respond to callback requests during office hours, usually on the same or next working day.

2

Initial visit and cost estimate

We come to you, assess the care needs and plan the care with you. Before the contract begins, you receive a written cost estimate. The initial visit is an insurance-funded service (52,58 € per hour or part thereof) and, with a care level, is paid from your care budget – without a care level, it is charged privately.

3

Care begins

We start as soon as possible – often on the same day, usually the next day at the latest. During office hours you can reach the office; outside office hours, our on-call service for clients.

No minimum term.

You can cancel your care contract at any time without notice (§ 120(2) SGB XI). Helpful for getting started: health insurance card, care level notice (if available), current medication plan and doctor’s prescriptions for medical treatment care.

Hospital discharge coming up?

Call us as soon as the discharge date is confirmed: we are often with you on the same day, usually the next day at the latest, to discuss the care. We coordinate with the hospital’s discharge management, the doctors and the care insurance fund so that the transition is as smooth as possible.

Costs & care insurance fund

Care insurance fund, care level, costs – clearly explained.

With a care level, the care insurance fund covers a large part of the costs of home care – through fixed monthly budgets that we bill directly to the fund. Whether there is a personal contribution depends on the services chosen. We work it out for you transparently in advance:

  • Additionally at every care level: 131 € relief amount per month – often unused, we make full use of it for you
  • Up to 3.539 € annual budget for respite & short-term care from care level 2
  • Medical treatment care on prescription – costs covered by the health insurance fund

In-kind care benefits under § 36 SGB XI, as of 2026. At the initial consultation, we work out your personal budget for you transparently.

No care level yet?

No problem – we explain free of charge whether a care level might apply and how the application works. Your care insurance fund also offers free care advice. If you would like us to submit the entire application for you or accompany the MD assessment, this is a private service.

You want to work in care? Then you’ve come to the right place.

Whether you are a qualified nurse, a care assistant or a complete career changer: what counts with us is how you treat people – we’ll teach you the rest. In practice, that means:

  • Career changer? No problem. After training and onboarding, you may take on certain services yourself – you start on paid terms and learn on the job.
  • Thorough onboarding: You ride along with a colleague until you feel confident – not until the duty roster demands it.
  • Your personal mentor: A dedicated practical instructor supports you, answers every question and has your back – from day one.
  • A strong team behind you: Fixed rounds, modern digital tools instead of paper chaos, direct access to management – you’re never alone with a problem.

3When would you like to start?

No cover letter or CV needed. Everything is optional – your details go only to us.

Do I get paid during training?

Yes. During training as a registered nurse, you are entitled to an appropriate training allowance – and there are no school fees.

Which school qualification do I need?

For geriatric care assistant training, a lower secondary certificate is usually enough. For registered nurse training, e.g. an intermediate certificate (mittlere Reife) – or a lower secondary certificate plus vocational or care assistant training. Just write to us and we’ll look at it together.

Can I do a work placement first?

Absolutely – it’s actually the best start. In a school work placement, you get to know everyday care before you decide. Information and enquiries: work placement page.

Where does the training take place?

You learn the theory at the nursing school and the practice with us in home care around Lahr. Registered nurse training also includes placements in other areas – such as hospital or paediatrics.

* Applies to generalist nursing training (Nursing Professions Act, Pflegeberufegesetz). We’ll discuss available places, start dates and partner schools with you personally – these may change. The information provided by the respective school is binding.

Frequently asked questions

Good to know

Do you always arrive on the dot? +
No – and there’s a good reason for that. In home care, we visit our clients one after another on a round. If something unexpected comes up with someone or we’re stuck in traffic, everything shifts a little. That’s why we commit to a time window: around 45 minutes before or after the agreed time. In return, if you need more time on a given day, we take it – without watching the clock. That’s exactly what you would want for your own loved ones, too.
What does care from PoSa cost? +
With a care level (Pflegegrad), the care insurance fund covers a large part of the costs – we bill it directly. Whether there is a personal contribution depends on the scope of services. In the free initial consultation, we calmly work it out for you.
How quickly can care start? +
Usually very quickly: if you call in the morning, we are often with you the same day – as a rule, by the following day at the latest. Beforehand you receive a cost estimate; we agree the start date with you.
We don’t have a care level yet – what now? +
That’s no obstacle: we’ll explain free of charge whether a care level (Pflegegrad) is realistic and how the application works. Until then, services can be paid privately or – for example after a hospital stay – covered by the health insurance fund on a doctor’s prescription. We offer to handle the complete application and accompany the MD assessment as a private service (89 € or 129 €).
Am I contractually tied to PoSa? +
There is no minimum term. Under § 120(2) SGB XI, you can terminate your care contract at any time without notice. We simply agree any changes in scope with you.
Will I always see familiar faces? +
We work in permanent teams for each region and plan the rounds so that you see the same colleagues as often as possible. Care never works entirely without changes – but we keep them to a minimum, and we introduce new faces from the team to you.
Do you also offer just companionship or domestic help – without care? +
Yes. You can also use companionship and support or domestic help on their own – from care level 1, for example, via the relief amount (Entlastungsbetrag) of 131 € per month.
Do you handle the paperwork with the insurance fund? +
We handle billing with the care and health insurance funds directly, as well as cost estimates and submitting doctors’ prescriptions. For applications such as a care level or an upgrade of the care level, we explain the procedure free of charge; if we take care of them completely for you, that is a private service at a fixed price.
Can I switch from my current care service to PoSa? +
Yes, you can switch at any time – you can terminate your existing care contract without notice. We agree the start date with you and inform the care insurance fund so that there is, as far as possible, no gap in care.
My relative is being discharged from hospital – how quickly can you help? +
Call us as soon as the discharge date is set: we are often with you the same day, as a rule by the following day at the latest. We coordinate with the hospital’s discharge management, the doctors and the care insurance fund.
